un chargé de mission Temporary Elections Support (anglais)

The British Embassy in Tunis is recruiting an Elections Support Officer on a temporary contract from September 2014 to January 2015.

The main purpose of the role will be to support the Political section in the run up to and during the 2014 legislative and Presidential elections in Tunisia.

Roles and responsibilities:
Research political developments and issues related to the elections and produce draft reports
Monitor media reporting and relevant elections coverage
Assist the Embassy team with political analysis
Attend meetings and events on behalf of the Embassy team
Provide translation of ad hoc documents as required
Support the wider Embassy team as required

Conditions d’éligibilité
- A high standard of spoken and written English, French and Arabic
- A university degree (A degree in political sciences/international relations/journalism or a related field is desirable)
- The ability to be flexible and resilient under pressure
- The ability to deliver work to a high standard within tight deadlines
- Strong organisational, analytical and time management skills, with good attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- An interest in current affairs, including the elections
- Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft applications

The gross monthly salary offered for the position is 1600 TND, from which social service contributions will be deducted. Before applying, candidates should ensure that they are eligible to work in Tunisia.
