DRC/DDG is a Non-Government Organisation that has been working in Libya and Tunisia since 2011. DRC/DDG works with vulnerable people who are displaced/affected by conflict, instability. DRC/DDG has offices in Tripoli, in other regions of Libya, and in previously in Zarzis (Tunisia).
Danish Demining Group (DDG) is the branch of the Danish Refugee Council that focuses on human security programming. DDG strives to identify safety and security needs from the perspective of those living with conflict and to help them find non-violent solutions. These go beyond traditional mine action activities which reduce the threat posed by explosive remnants of war. Through Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) projects we engage communities in seeking out durable solutions to local security problems. DRC and DDG have worked in Libya since August 2011 in the fields of humanitarian response, mixed migration and mine action. DDG began implementing an AVR project in Sabha, Libya in 2013 to build the capacity of local authorities and the community to deal with the effects of armed violence.
